Duotone

£10.00

Following hugely successful appearances at End of the Road Festival and London’s South Bank Centre in 2010 Duotone have regularly been mesmerising audiences around the country with their shows that breathlessly move from riotous energy all the way down to the most delicate moments of heartfelt intimacy.

A record that is restlessly inventive and one that sees, frontman and main song writer, Barney Morse-Brown, take a new direction from that of Duotone's first album, 'Work Harder'.

It is rare these days to find a record that is un-categorizable – but, Ropes, the second album by Duotone is just that.

The emotion of the songs is never far away, whether it is the gorgeous singing of Raevennan Husbandes, emphasising loss on ‘Turning Pages Over’ or the final track, ‘Picture Box’, which drawing on the frailty of human existence wonders ‘If we’ll find land‘. Intriguing and intoxicating, it is well worth exploring the unique world of Duotone.

"The album is magical from start to finish – ★★★★★"
