The team behind ECC Records are:

Simon Emmerson
Grammy Award-nominated record producer, guitarist, DJ and founder of the group Afro Celt Sound System.
As musician, producer and bandleader, Simon’s talents have been the catalyst behind many projects. In the Eighties he put together the trailblazing jazz/soul outfit Working Week. After producing world artists like Manu Dibango and Baaba Maal, he founded The Afro-Celt Sound System, whose music fused two hemispheres. The Imagined Village is the outcome of several years’ work.

Mark Constantine
Birdsound extraordinaire.
Mark Constantine is a modern day merchant who invents, manufactures and sells his own produce. He is the founder of Lush Cosmetics and The Sound Approach, an independent publishing company committed to his vision of turning bird watchers into bird listeners.

Corncrake
Protected by law.
Best looked and listened for on the Western Isles. RSPB reserves at Balranald and Coll provide some of the best opportunities.
Corncrakes are related to moorhens, coots and rails but differ from most members of the family because they live on dry land. They are very secretive, spending most of their time hidden in tall vegetation, their presence only betrayed by their rasping call. In flight their bright chestnut wings and trailing legs are unmistakable.
Corncrakes have recently expressed an interest in music and are known to display great business flair, a trait particularly useful for males when attracting mates that remain unimpressed by the usual rasping calls.
